   Sefarad is a name that evokes remote times, distant lands, exotic landscapes even...   Sefarad is the name that Jewish gave to the Iberian Peninsula.

    Remote times, without a doubt. Distant lands but not as much in the space as in the adventure of the daily coexistence. Exotic landscapes for a historical memory sometimes full of mistakes, sometimes full of prejudices..

     When we spoke of Jewish in Spain, terms as ladino or marrano come quick to our mind, followed by the ominous image of the Inquisition. Unfortunately, the image of the Jewish people historically drags many negative connotations totally unjust. The Group MAZAL (whose meaning in Hebrew is "luck"), tries to contribute to rehabilitate this image by means of the recovery, promotion and spreading of the jewish-spanish cultural patrimony, enphasizing his musical tradition.
